I went to a SmartStyle in Wal-Mart two days ago. I had 3 pictures of different angles of what I wanted my hair to look like. Usually I only pay around $12 for a haircut, but here it was $17.80. I was willing to pay the extra because I needed the look. I asked the hair stylist if she could make my hair thinner, but without any noticible layers. She said yes. I took off my glasses and she started cutting. When she was done, I put my glasses on, and was horrified. My hair was short (I wanted it to be, so no big deal), but there were hundreds of layers. She didn't even use a layering tool, she just hacked away at it with scissors.

Next, she did my bangs. She cut them so short, it didn't look anything like the picture. If she didn't know how to cut my hair, she should have just said so". I wanted to cry/. She didn't even blowdry my hair when she was done and left it damp?. I thought that it was just the shock of seeing it and that I could wash/dry it at home and get it back to normal,. I paid her (no tip) and left". I went home and I couldn't do anything about the style!. MY HAIR IS BUTCHERED/. She didn't even tell me she was done, she just walked away|. Never go here. what is a layering tool i am a hairstylist and there is no such thing...just saying... you use your shears to layer.

ive had my hair done in that salon since i was 11 years old. they have never done anything less than perfect. wheather my hair was short or long, bleach blonde or black. i personally think they kick ***.

Personally as a manager from another salon, I hate to hear you had such a horrible experience. Had you made it known to the manager or our home office we would have tried to mae things better for the future. Even though you have a bad taste for the salon doesn't mean none of our stylists can do hair. Hopefully your next haircut was better and I wish next time no matter where you have an issue if your not happy tell someone. It can't be solved otherwise :?

@kayli: Um, somebody who's had their hair butchered by a complete moron-- as a paying customer-- DOES have the right to complain. You sound like a butthurt "stylist" who's totally done the same thing to a customer.

uhmmm well you have no right to complain you signed a form i sure before gettimng it done and not to mention my sister work there soo i dont really apppreciate you saying that smart styles is terrible because it was only ONE person not the whole entire company!! watch what you say and GET over it!

poor you..and you were even willing to pay an entire $5.80 more to get what you wanted...were you still able to pay your rent? Im sure you have an acess card for everything else you buy :upset
