3. Written by For real? Seriously on September 26, 2010 from -, -, US Okay, it's had to have any valid or authentic post when you can even form sentences or use proper grammer. This will in turn make you look uneducated, shady. Please, this is a very solid and professional company to whom I have the pleasure of working for as a manager for the last 5 years. Yes, if this is the truth, the teens hair being destroy as such, I have to be honest, in my 25 years of doing hair I have never done or seen this done to anyone to that degree which lends itself to being unbelievable to say the least. If this unfortunate and rare incident did in fact happen, it's an extreme circumstance and obviously this stylist had little or no experience or just plain had no business doing anyone hair, period. I have a wondeful district/area manager and my store is sucessful with very trained and creative stylist. Why, because I am a very sucessful stylist who would never hire a inexperienced or incompetent stylist. This is a very solid and good company to work for that employs many creative, talent stylist. I can say all this having worked for MANY salons. Yes, this might happen but not on my watch because I would not have that person/stylist working in my salon. I take great pride in my team and excellent customer satisfaction. Don't bad mouth one bad apple (if it is at all true) it doesn't spoil the whole bunch. We all stand alone and the company will *** out these types of stylist who never should do hair. Customers are also NOT always right and they do exaggerate their point to get something free but for those who have been wrong by a stylist, do your research before going to a stylist. If you like someone's hair style, ask them where they got it done. Bring pictures and be realistic (these photos are of finished looks/styled completely with computer touchups) Understand your hair texture in what you hair will do and what it will not. This helps in being realistic. We are not perfect just as you are not but we do strive to do the best work possible. You have to communicate well and be sure of what you want or open to ideals in order to leave satisfied. Give your stylist a break, she is not a mindreader nor is your doctor, attorney, therapist, etc. Communicated and do your homework and understand you hair type and you should be able to leave the salon very satisfied. Please refrain from blogging complaints on the internet, it makes it less believable. Good luck.
4. Written by kammball on April 26, 2010 from springfield, missouri, US I would like to start by apologizing to anyone that has had an unfortunate experience at a Smart Style Salon, I would now like to acknowledge that although some stylist like to do hair they shouldn't. With that being said I am going to now defend the hundreds of hard working Smart Style Stylists and encourage them to keep doing the best that they can because we all make mistakes. I have been a stylist for 7 years and to be quite honest I still make mistakes :-0 I know right. Although I'm sure it happens more often than I would like to think I have never set out to destroy, damage, ruin a cut, color or perm ever on a client. We are not mind readers if you've been putting some cheap box color on your hair say that you have. I would also like to say that sometimes it can be the chemicals sometimes it can be the clients hair I have yet to be aquainted with a stylist that wants to spend 3 hours doing an all over foil with three differant colors just to have it not turn out the way they anticipated. My clients are my walking bill board business card. We are human and we do make mistakes, we just hope its a 1/4 of an inch on one side. I can also say that if you can't tell the competance of your stylist maybe you should pray for discernment, but most of you know that your Smart Style Stylists are most definately willing to go the extra step to correct any errors tha may have occured whether it be their fault or the tools being used. Most people work so look at it like this if you go into work and the lights go out you check the switch its on you've done everything you know to do and someone else comes along and flips the breaker and bam the lights are back on that doesn't make you incompetant you did everything you could think of to regain lighting you wouldnt want someone running around trying to ruin your career because your mistake was not looking at the breaker box anyway my point is let he that is with out sin cast the first stone none of us walk on water and I have worked with some amazing stylists that do the very best they can and I am blessed to work with them at Smart Style.

7. Written by smalltowngirl on March 24, 2010 from bristol, virginia, US Hello, I am writing this review today in conclusion to my last review ( Smart Style Nightmare- Lebanon, Va). Since that review has posted it has been brought to my attention that my child’s hair was ruined intentionally, by a cosmetologist whom does not believe in allowing preteens and teens to have highlighted hair. The cosmetologist has been going to all of my review sites stating her opinion of how it is so very wrong for teens and preteens to dye their hair. She has also been posting comments of slandering, cursing, swearing profanities, and telling lies about my daughter and I. At this time I would like to ask everyone whom is posting comments on my and my child’s behalf to stop and take that time to pray for Anita and her family. I would also like to ask that you do not go back to these review sites and continue to read the comments that she will surely write to upset everyone. If we all quit responding she will have no audience to perform for. So please pray for them all and god will handle the rest.
