You are paying fifty dollars for a color in a store, in Walmart. The *** taking 2 hours to slap it on your head is making 40%. You do the math. These are people between real jobs or the bottom of the cosmetologist food chain. I know, I work there! |

Written by Anna on June 15, 2011 from plymouth, massachusetts, US @Princess_Sherri : Everyone deserves a decent haircut, etc. But two questions; why didnt you leave after she said she wasnt going to brush out your hair & why didn't you leave after she took off 5 inches of hair? I think you should of cut your losses right there!!! |
| 4. Written by To all the Smart Stylists defe on June 2, 2011 from killeen, texas, US it may be true that there are some of you whom are REAL proffessionals but that in no way redeems Smart Style for employing losers who BUTCHER PEOPLES HAIR. When it comes to handling peoples hair they need to un-*** themselves. Hit-or-miss is unacceptable in this field... By the way, i just got home after sitting in a smart style for 5 hours, paid $54 and came out with what looks like a bad box dye job. i went in blonde. i asked for my roots touched up and a toner to make it more of an Ash blonde... i came out with roots lighter then the toner she put in.... she made several amateur mistakes that even I KNOW you dont do. like when you are toning hair you start with the HEALTHIEST part of the hair (the roots) because it isnt as porous as the hair the rest of the hair that has suffered multiple chemical treatments and aging... she just DUMPED IT ALL ON AT THE SAME TIME then was shocked that my roots were still golden-orange while the rest of my hair was almost grey ash blonde... she said to come back in the morning and she will fix it by RE-BLEACHING my roots and re-toning to a different color and for free... while the word FREE is tempting to recover what a mess has been made, i think i will decline and not risk coming out bald tomorrow!!! ![]() |
| 5. Written by babbling words making no sense on September 28, 2010 from -, -, US Princess_Sherri? You should go back to school and learn how to use a dictionary before you write a complaint. You make absolutely no sense and you thoughts are confusing sentence fragments. This lends to most of these posts that are similiar in nature, internet complaints are dribble and show that you don't possess the gonads to just call the salon and complain to the "stylist" who actually ruin your hair. Again, we are missing alot of facts, shape of your hair, or what products, dyes you put in your hair. It's anyone's game on the internet to post dribble and they do time and time again. Quit whinning and call the salon and vent and keep your generalized statements to yourself. I don't appreciate your disrepect to my occupation or the company I work for. Get a life and call and complain the right way. ![]() |

| 7. Written by It could happen at any salon on September 28, 2010 from -, -, US Hey now Charlotte, I think you need to back it up a bit. You are saying all stylist that work for Smart Style are unprofessionals? Get this Charlotte, I have been licensed for 25 years strong with great sucess and never "butchered" anyone's hair. That is such a generalized statement considering Smart Styles are throughout the U.S. and employ thousands of stylists. They are the most sucessful of all the Regis salon names making up for 40% of profit for Regis. These numbers don't lie nor would we be able to have continued repeat business if "all Smart Style stylists were incompetent as you say. So sorry you had the unfortunate experience of "one" bad stylist, but that doesn't mean the thousand other stylist did it to you at Smart Style. Get a grip and call the salon and complain if you are so unhappy with you cut. You will get a refund or another sylist with more training will fix it for you. Don't take it out on the rest of the us who don't do people ugly. Not much credibility in writing a complaint on the internet. Call Regis or the salon first before you slander all of us. Lastly, do you think most have had a bad haircut in their life at one point in time? Yes, of course they have and it could have been ANYWHERE. ![]() |
| 8. Written by jodi on June 30, 2010 from herndon, virginia, US I am terribly sorry for what the stylist did to you. It really stinks that 1 bad experience could ruin it for the great stylists who work there. You cant turn that stylist into everyone that works for them because we all have different training behind us. Now to be quite honest its terrible what happened to youand I am not taking sides when I say this or saying that u r to blame, but there is 3 sides to every story. yours, hers, and the truth. How do we know what kind of hair condition ur hair was in to begin with or if you had put anything on ur hair[like box dye gone bad] and of course she shoul have asked lots of questions regarding ur hair b4 starting. We just dont know. We just hear ur side. It is terrible what u say happened and u shouldnt have been charged. |
| 9. Written by smalltowngirl on May 20, 2010 from bristol, virginia, US I have had a simular experience with Smart Style. Regis Corporation will do nothing to help you. However, you can get justice by getting the cosmetology license of the negligent stylist revoked so others will not have to go through the same situation. All you need to do is contact the Board of Cosmetology in your state. The information on how to contact them can be found online. They will handle the rest. Everyone whom has had to suffer humiliation by the hands of a negligent cosmetologist should do the same. |
| 10. Written by Charlotte on May 6, 2010 from findlay, ohio, US Hey, "Stylist," I had my hair literally butchered at a Smart Style in my town, and I googled "smart style complaints" and got a mass amount of complaints from people who also had their hair butchered. It sounds like to me, that everyone that works at a Smart Style is a *** "stylist" and should attend cosmetology school for several more years, or even find a different career. |
